MISSION STATEMENT

The San Fernando Valley Arts & Cultural Center, a §501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation advocates art and culture through exhibitions, education, music and theater. It is committed to promoting visual and performing arts by Valley‐based artists, providing a cultural hub for our community and enriching the lives of artists and others. The SFVACC embraces all forms of arts discipline and will continue to create a rich, artistic legacy in the San Fernando Valley.

The Art of Creative Aging is open!

Amazing art from 50 amazing artists is showcased in the SFVACC’s “Art of Creative Aging IV” exhibit where age knows no boundaries. The public is welcome and the exhibit is free.

Bonnie Bowden's "Latin Night" Concert - August 18, 2019

Get your Rhumba and Mambo on!  Bonnie sings with the Angel City Big Band on Sunday, August 18th.  Doors open at 7:00 pm.  Only $15 per person.  Dance the night away or just listen to the cool sounds of ACBB.  Complimentary snacks and sweets, cash wine bar, free parking in rear lot.

New "Spotlight" Gallery

We have decided to do away with our gift shop and set up our "Spotlight" mini gallery.  If you would like to display your art (we will be installing a hanging system) please contact Adria at adria@sfvacc.org.  The cost is $100 for one month starting at the beginning of each of our exhibits.

Raising our Rates for 2019

We have raised our rates in 2019 for the first time since 2016 and now with our annual raise in rent, we thought it the right time to do this.  Rates for non-profit organization meetings and workshops will be $40 per hour, the exhibit rate will be $2,800 and event rates will be $75 per hour for daytime or evenings.  We have tried to keep our rates as low as we possibly could, but with rising utility rates and costs of supplies, we need to make sure we can keep the Center open for years to come.

Calling all Volunteers!

The SFVACC has started a new concept for sitting the Center.  We will be putting together a team of professional docents to watch over the Center during our exhibits.  These docents will be trained in everything they need to know about running the Center and being a welcoming representative behind the reception desk. Organizations can also have their members keep our professional docents company, if they so wish.  We will need to fill forty 3-hour shifts during each of our 2019 4-week exhibits. So think about joining our team and immerse yourself in all that creative energy at the Center!  Click here for the application.  SFAVCC VOLUNTEER DOCENT APPLICATION.docx  For sitters already on our schedule, please click on sitter mobile login  sitter calendar
