January Jazz Muse Concert Series presents “Voices of Jazz: Exploring Three Legends”

Vocalist Janis Mann celebrates the jazz vocal stylings of three legendary singers: Nina Simone, Carmen McRae, and Shirley Horn.  Presenting both the signature and obscure songs that defined these artists, Janis highlights their contrasts and similarities.

Once again, she is accompanied by a world class trio of musicians: Peter Smith on piano, Ken Wild on bass, and Kendall Kay on drums.  Peter Smith is a renowned pianist and musical director for actress/singer Molly Ringwald.  Ken Wild is a master bassist who has recorded with Barbra Streisand, Gloria Estafan, and many others.  Kendall Kay is a first call drummer who is currently touring with Diane Schuur.

Doors open at 7:00 pm so you can socialize and enjoy the new art exhibit  – “Art Across the Valley.”

The show will start at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $25 at the door and $15 for students.

Snacks, wine and beer will be served.  Get here early for the best seats.
